• Employment Type: Local ContractJob DescriptionSummary:Providence Health and Services - MSP is seeking an experienced Wound Care RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a 212-bed acute care facility in Apple Valley, CA. You will deliver comprehensive wound assessment and management services, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Cleanse, debride, and dress wounds using evidence-based wound care products and techniques
  • Educate patients and families on wound prevention, self-care, and nutrition strategies
  • Administer and document treatments in Epic per facility protocols
  • Monitor and document wound healing progress, escalate concerns to the Wound Care team or physician
  • Float to other patient care units on the floor as needed to support staffing
  • Adhere to all safety, infection-control, and documentation standardsKey Requirements:
    • Must start 05/19/2025 and commit to the full 13-week assignment
    • Willingness to work at least every other weekend and at least 3 of these holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's
    • RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; post-offer changes not permitted
    • Local candidates within 50 mile radius accepted (may qualify for a reduced bill rate)
    • Must provide --- 2 supervisory references covering --- 1 year of relevant RN experience within the last 3 years
    • Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours conditional)QualificationsEducation:
      • Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's Nursing programExperience:
        • Minimum 2 years of acute-care Wound Care RN experience
        • At least 5 years of overall hospital nursing experienceLicense:
          • Active California RN license in hand at submission (no pending/temporary)
          • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificationSkills:
            • Wound Care Certification (WCC) and Wound Ostomy Continence Certification (WOCN) - required
            • Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation
            • Strong patient education, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
