Description American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical
Therapist with 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care
assignment at a Level II Trauma Center, working 8-hour day shifts
Tuesday through Saturday. Details - Acute care hospital setting
with a Level II Trauma Center designation - Physical Therapist role
within a combined PT, OT, and Speech therapy department - Patient
caseload varies by assigned area: up to 9 patients per day in
outpatient, up to 13 per day in inpatient, and variable in rehab -
Inpatient patient population includes orthopedic, post-surgical,
neurological, trauma, cardiac, and med-surg cases; outpatient
includes ortho and neuro; rehab includes neuro, spinal cord
injuries, and trauma - Inpatient PT does not cover NICU,
pediatrics, PICU, ER, or ICU - May be assigned to inpatient,
outpatient, or rehab areas, with potential to float to other areas
as needed - Rehab aides are available on unit to assist with
patient care - Charting is done via Cerner PowerChart; experience
is preferred - Schedule is 8-hour day shifts, Tuesday through
Saturday, though shift days may vary based on facility needs (e.g.,
Wed–Sun or Thu–Mon) - Holidays are not required Requirements -
Minimum 1–2 years of PT experience required; candidates with
inpatient clinical experience may be considered with less than a
full year - Active state PT license required at time of
consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license
required if applicable - Current BLS certification required;
pending certifications will not be accepted - Experience with acute
care or inpatient settings required - Trauma experience preferred -
Travel experience preferred - Driver's license required for
consideration - Two professional references required: one
supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or
supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of
employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information -
Orientation is approximately 1.5 days and is conducted at the
department level, not hospital-wide; Cerner training is included
during this time if needed - Uniform requirement: maroon polo
shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toe shoes; a lab coat is
optional - Candidates must not have been directly employed
(full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or
Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates who
worked PRN through outside firms may be considered - Local
