other duties may be assigned as necessary: · You must understand
and execute AAA service standards. · Provide friendly, fast, and
helpful great guest service to all external and internal guests. ·
Follow recipes to prepare and/or cook food to meet Jamul Casino
Culinary standards or as directed. · Measure and convert recipes
without affecting quality. · Accepts direction during day-to-day
operations to ensure culinary standards and operational guidelines
including kitchen areas, food preparation activities and facilities
are met. · Efficient preparation of all food related items based on
established recipes and plating procedures for both batch and
individual plated with attention to maintaining appropriate volume,
quality, cleanliness, and attractiveness. · Knowledge/understanding
of kitchen equipment to include safe operations and regulation of
temperatures for proficient cooking times and temperatures. · Must
adhere to regulatory, department and company policies. · Partners
with culinary leadership to work as a team to ensure coordinated
workflow during shift to meet business demands and ensure customer
satisfaction. · Must be familiar with and have exposure to prep
list. · Take daily inventory of product and effectively communicate
with lists for ordering and prep lists. · Exhibit intermediate
knife skills, sharpening. · Assist in operation of other food and
beverage venues as needed. · Attend all departmental and company
training programs or meetings as directed. · Properly maintains,
cleans, and sanitizes equipment and work areas to meet departmental
standards or as directed by leads and chefs. · Perform all job
duties in a safe and responsible manner. · Meet department uniform,
appearance, and grooming requirements. This includes purchasing and
wearing slip resistant safety shoes when performing all job duties.
· Assist and support culinary leadership to train and develop
culinary team. · Assist and support Culinary Leadership to ensure
cleanliness and safety standards are met. · Perform other job
related and compatible duties as assigned. · FIFO standards,
labeling and dating all products to ensure freshness. · Maintaining
working knowledge of all equipment and food products. · Food
Preparation: Assist with the preparation of ingredients such as
chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and · Basic Cooking Tasks:
Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to cook dishes, such
as grilling, boiling, frying, or baking, ensuring food is prepared
according to recipe specifications. · Cleaning & Organization: Keep
workstations clean and organized, ensuring all cooking equipment,
utensils, and surfaces are sanitized. Follow proper food storage
procedures. · Food Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to health and safety
regulations for food handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed. · Assisting Senior
Staff: Support senior cooks, chefs, and kitchen managers by
completing basic cooking tasks and preparing ingredients in a
timely manner. · Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with
other kitchen staff, demonstrating strong communication and
teamwork skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations. · Maintain a
clean and consistent attendance record. · Perform other job related
and compatible duties as assigned To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · Associate’s degree
in a culinary field or equivalent combination of education and
experience · Ability to earn and maintain a current Food Handlers
Card and knowledge of safe sanitary practices. · 3 years’
experience in a culinary position · Must be able to work under
extreme heat or cold kitchen conditions. · Must have mathematical
skills in all units of measure using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. · Must be able to acquire and maintain an
appropriate gaming license. · Must have the ability or the
willingness to learn weights, measurements, and culinary knife
skills. · Must learn and maintain sanitary and safety
practices.
