Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist is responsible for Program operating
the machines and operating according to procedures and instructions
and for performing the following specific functions
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

limited to:
Responsibilities:
--- Complete tasks with a contagious positive attitude
--- Approach tasks with a can-do attitude
--- Complete tasks with the company goals in mind; love the company

--- Sets-up and operates machines according to job specifications
and supervisor instructions
--- Reviews blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of
products.
--- Possess complex and simple trigonometry math skills
--- Builds complex tooling as necessary
--- Programs in three-dimensional and two-dimensional according to
blueprint specifications and requirements.
--- Measures work pieces for conformance-using measuring
instruments such as, calipers and micrometers.
--- Possess basic and complex machining tools such as; calipers,
mics, protractors and indicators.
--- Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment such as; band
saw, surface grinder, conventional mills and lathes
--- Able to grin and sharpen complex tools
--- Follows company machining policies
--- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
--- Upholds all company safety regulations
--- Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
skills, and abilities required for the job:
--- Must be able to work required shift and be a steady, reliable
worker as this is a highly visible position-requires the ability
and willingness to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
record.
--- Must be able to read and understand procedures and diagrams
--- Must be able to work overtime and/or occasional Saturdays if
required
--- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
skills.
--- Basic understanding of Fabrication Machinery
--- Must have STRONG mathematical skills
--- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
--- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
detailed written and oral instructions.
--- Ability to learn quickly and to retain/apply training skills to
job duties.
--- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative
demeanor, conduct and working relationship with management,
supervisors, and employees.
--- Ability to handle multiple tasks/job duties, to adapt quickly
to workplace changes/new job duties, & to
complete required tasks within allotted time frames and cut-off
dates.
--- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in fast pace
demanding work environment.
--- Ability to work overtime as needed and/or required.

SELECTION GUIDELINES
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this
position are achievable through the following combination of
education, work experience, and training:
--- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
--- Two (2) or more years of work experience as a CNC Mill/Lathe
Machinist
--- Any combination of experience, education, and training that
will provide the level of knowledge, skills, and ability required
for the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform
the following physical activities during the course of work:
--- Communicates orally with members of management, office
personnel, and employees in person.
--- Required to stand for most of an eight (8) hour shift
--- Routinely required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, lift,
and reach, in the performance of job function.
--- Must have sufficient hand, arm, and sholder dexterity and
strength to use hand tools.
--- Requires the essential use of hands, speech, eyesight, and
hearing.
--- Lifting limitations for this position: 25 lbs. anymore than 25
lbs employee must ask for assitance
--- Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color
vision, peripheral and depth vision, and the ability to adjust
focus as needed.
--- Noise level for this work environment is typically moderate to
high
