Client is seeking a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join
their team. The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will play an
active, hands-on role in the development of new systems, hardware,
and software designs for products being developed for use in DoD
environments.
The Senior Systems Engineer will take ownership of electrical
requirements analysis activities at the CCA and system level to
include requirements generation, allocation, and tracking
throughout the development lifecycle as well as hardware testing
and validation. This Senior Systems Engineer will also contribute
to and support organization-wide efforts across disciplined teams
in electrical, mechanical, and software technical areas.
This candidate will be joining a growing engineering team that
develops cutting-edge, ruggedized military hardware to support
operations via air, land, or sea. The department focuses on tightly
integrated, compact sensing and computing technologies to deliver
mission critical information. Prior experience working with
ruggedized military hardware is desirable (but not required).
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead systems developments to align with customer
requirements and company goals. Provide technical leadership to
system architecture definition based on the required functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system-level
interfaces, performance parameters, and integration points. Develop
and execute test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts to
validate system functionality and performance. Support system
verification, validation, and qualification in laboratory and field
environments. Interface frequently with customers, technical
management, and cross-disciplinary engineers to resolve technical
issues, while optimally balancing cost, schedule and technical
design integrity. Create technical documentation, including system
design documents, user manuals, and test reports. Ensure compliance
with applicable defense and software engineering standards (e.g.,
MIL-STD-498, DO-178C). Train junior Systems Engineers in generating
key deliverables to further develop the in-house knowledge base.

Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 5-8 years of
experience in an electrical design and/or systems engineering role.
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, planning, and abstract
thinking skills Ability to work independently to formulate systems
engineering work products and integrating complex hardware/software
systems (preferably). Hands-on experience in systems engineering
product life cycle development activities. Hands-on experience with
qualification testing per MIL Standards (MIL-STD-704, 810, 461,
464) that covers the expected military customer use environment and
operational conditions.
In Addition, The Followings Are Significant Pluses:
M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Hands-on
experience with hardware validation and qualification testing and
troubleshooting. Experience with MOSA, SOSA, and/or GCIA standards.
Experience with specialized interface protocols including
MIL-STD-1553 and CAN bus. Strong knowledge and experience with SAE
ARP4761, MIL-STD-882E, Joint Software System Safety Handbook
(JSSSEH), DO-178B/C, MIL-HDBK-516C, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, and/or
AOP-52. Ability to adapt to fast moving environments with evolving
deadlines and communicate technical concepts clearly and
effectively. Experience using DOORS is a plus.
